Foundation stone of the company was put in Riga by four young people having a business vision in their mind and willpower to reach it. In year 1993 they started to purchase components, assemble computers and sell them to end users as well as to resellers in Latvia.

This year ELKO is celebrating its 20th anniversary! Over the course of those 20 years, ELKO has grown to become one of the largest IT product wholesalers in Eastern Europe with trusted partners worldwide and a professional team on board. Today ELKO operates in 8 countries - Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia. The headquarter of ELKO is located in Riga (Latvia), and functions as a heart of company’s administration, logistics, finance, marketing, and IT support. The main course of action of the company is wholesale of full range of IT products – components, peripheral equipment, PCs and notebooks, servers and network solutions. ELKO represents more than 80 producers and offers more than 12000 product titles from the most famous suppliers - Acer, AMD, Asus, HGST, Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft, Seagate, Sony, Western Digital and others. Company sells their goods to more than 5600 retailers, local computer producers and system integrators.

ELKO Group is No.1 distributor of Intel products in Russia, Latvia, Estonia and Slovakia, and among top 3 – in EMEA region. No.2 distributors of HGST, Seagate and  Western Digital products in EMEA region. Leading distributor of Acer, Sony notebooks in Russia and No.1 Lenovo and Asus distributors in Ukraine.
ELKO Group is also named as the best distributor in Russia & CIS during annual DISTREE XXL 2009/2010/2011 conferences.
